REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING – July 11, 2006
The Town Board of the Town of Cooperstown met on July 11, 2006 at
7:00 PM at the Town Hall for the regular monthly meeting. Meeting
called to order by Chairman Bill Enz at 7:00 p.m. Present other than
Chairman Enz were Supervisors John Hager, Joe Havlovitz, Mike Albers
and Fred Lemens, Treasurer Bernie Duescher and Clerk Sue Kornely.
Constable Nancy Weber was not present. Seven others in attendance.
Representative Michelle Strauss from Horton Group, Lawrence Hansen
from Maritime Insurance, Jeff Reesman from Northeast Asphalt & John
Delmore from Scott Construction were also present. Pledge of
Allegiance. Motion to approve agenda Sup. Lemens/Sup. Albers. Carried
5/0.
Minutes of June 13th- reviewed/motion to approve Sup. Albers/Sup.

Minutes of July 5 Board of Review- reviewed/motion Sup. Hager/Sup.

Treasurer’s Report- reviewed/motion to approve Sup. Lemens/Sup.

Citizens Input- Pat Bradley would like the sidewalk to stay. He would
like Bonnie Reddy’s sidewalk to stay also and would maintain both. He
feels in removing them the speed of the cars would increase.
Discussion.
Road and Equipment Report/Culvert Permits- Dan Kasten is out and John
Rabenhorst is covering. No culvert permits, John is cutting back
trees, cleaning out under the guardrails. Crackfilling machine is
ready.
Constable Report- Clerk Kornely reported on the cat issue on
Fairhills Road
Plan Commission- Sup. Lemens reported on the Rezoning request for
Ileana Link Christl, discussed Windmills ordinances- more restrictions
or compensations for neighbors or Town, discussed possible changes in
PC with rotating after 6 yrs with one year off & Town Board member for
each cycle, next meeting Aug 7th @ 7pm
Building Inspector- Clerk Kornely reported inspections on Wake &
Roznik homes.
County Hwy R curb and gutter project/Waterline from Manitowoc to
Green Bay- Chairman Enz reported he spoke with Gary Kennedy on the
patching of Hwy R, litigation on the parts over the centerline areas,
by next year the road will be complete, Pat Bradley asked about the
curbing. Sup. Hager reports thin layers of blacktop this year. Sup.
Lemens has concern with *narrowing road makes the road less safe*. Pat
Bradley would like the town to pay some of the curbing cost if
removed. Sup. Albers reported on the Waterline- 80% complete, cable
4-6 week project, expected completion November 12th, December 12th -
flush pipe. Motion table Sup. Lemens/Sup. Albers. Carried 5/0.
SVRS Voting Systems-Motion to order M100 voting machine Sup.
Albers/Sup. Hager. 5/0 C.
Viking Rescue Squad Contract- Sup. Hager reported on the meeting at
the Denmark Village Hall everyone discussing contact, another meeting
end of month. Chairman Enz had Leroy Meles attend the meeting also.
They are working on the contract wording; bi-laws and contract are not
consistent. Motion table Sup. Lemens/Sup. Havlovitz 4/0 C. Sup Hager
abstained.
Rezoning Request Ileana Christel- Sup. Lemens reported on the PC
finding, request to rezone 9.7 of the 21.2 acres to A-2, was denied by
the Plan Commission, the rezoning did not meet the Comprehensive Plan
preserving prime ag land and keeping the open and rural landscape.
