March 19, 2007 Town Board Meeting
TOWN BOARD MEETING – March 19, 2007 The Town Board of the Town of Cooperstown met on March 19, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall to enter into closed session. Meeting called to order by Chairman Bill Enz at 7:00 p.m. Present other than Chairman Enz were Supervisors Mike Albers, Fred Lemens, John Hager and Clerk Sue Kornely. Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to convene to close session. Sup. Albers/Sup. Lemens. Carried 4/0. The closed session convened to discuss Wages & Compensation for town employees under Sec. 19.85 (1)(c) of the Wis. Statutes. Motion to adjourn close session. Sup. Albers/Sup. Lemens. Carried 4/0. Motion to return to open session. Sup. Albers/Sup. Hager. Carried 4/0. Discussed agenda for next meeting- wages and hours. Discussed Richard Bradley’s bill and the tiling. A letter will be sent requesting a signature of agreement before the $1400 will be disbursed. Motion to send a letter that if the tile doesn’t alleviate the water problem the amount of $1400 will be paid back to the town. Sup. Albers/Sup. Hager Carried 4/0. If the drainage fails Richard Bradley will be responsible, include in letter that agreement be signed before check will be disbursed. Per Chairman Enz, New Denmark Chairman, Gary Moore, had stated that if the tile didn’t alleviate the water problem on Cooperstown Rd for the Town of New Denmark, they would be reimbursed the amount of money they paid for the boring and tiling. Motion of approval for check to be paid to the Maribel Sportsmen Club for Annual Meeting. Sup. Lemens/Sup. Albers. Carried 3/0. Sup. Hager abstained. Reviewed Annual Meeting minutes from April 11, 2006. Next Town Board Meeting Agenda- Requesting form from Fred. Chairman Enz reported on the Summons received: Nancy Weber and Russell and Teresa Norman vs. Town of Cooperstown and Manitowoc County. Clerk read actions. Chairman Enz will contact WTA to see if he can act on it with Attorney or if another meeting needs to be set to give approval to speak to Town’s Attorney. A written response is due in 20 days from March 18th, day the summons was served. The copy of the Summons was left for Chairman Enz at the Town Hall on March 18th after the Clerk placed a call to him. Adjournment- motion to adjourn Sup. Hager/Sup. Lemens.
