SPECIAL TOWN MEETING - December 6, 2010
The Town Board of the Town of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, convened in open session on December 6, 2010 at 7:16 PM at the Maribel Community Center, Maribel for the Special Town Meeting. The meeting was called to order at 7:16 pm by Chairman Duckett. Present other than Chairman Duckett was Sup. Weber, Sup. Skarda, Sup. Lemens, Sup. Enz, Treasurer Duescher and Clerk Kornely. One other was in attendance. Also present was Cty Sup. David Korinek. Purpose of the meeting of the electors is called pursuant to Sec. 60.12 (1)(c) of the Wis. Statutes is to adopt the 2010 town tax levy to be paid in 2011 pursuant to Sec. 60.10(1)(a) of the Wis. Statutes, to approve the total 2011 highway expenditures pursuant to Sec. 81.01(3) of the Wis. Statutes.
On a motion by Bernadette Duescher and seconded by Nancy Weber to adopt the 2010 town tax levy to be paid in 2011 for $272,396 was approved on a affirmative vote, with one no vote by Fred Lemens.
On a motion by Bernadette Duescher and seconded by Nancy Weber to approve the total 2011 highway expenditures at $253,000 was approved on a unanimous vote. Bernadette Duescher rescinded her motion and Nancy Weber rescinded her second. No motion was made.
On a motion by Sup. Weber and seconded by Sup. Skarda adjournment was approved on a unanimous vote. The meeting adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
